ABOUT ME

What is there to say??? I am pretty basic. Missouri girl born and raised, moved away a few times but keep coming back. Love to travel as much as possible, spend time with family, friends and loved ones. Divorced with an adorable smart little boy. I have worked in the financial industry for the last 5 years and before that in the hospitality industry for about 8 years with a little bit of the here an there stuff in between! Most of my time is taken up with my son. I am involved with the Iriosh community; KC Saint Patrick's Day Parade Committee & the KC Irish Fest. Don't think this is a one day thing- we have year around events! I am also passionate about helping law enforcment families cope with the loss of a loved after a line of duty death. This is near and dear to my heart since I lost my father in 1998. May sound a bit down but I have made some life long friends and am happy to be there for them when they need me. I love going out with my friends and meeting new people! ~ Ok so I am trying to add all the places I have been, I am taking a break though! If it is in the US from Missouri to the west I have most likely traveled it. Growing up we did a lot of road trips to the West Coast. DC area I have seen all around as well! PHILOSOPHY

Life is life and it is precious. Everything in life will teach you something, no matter what emotion takes you through it. We can choose to see life as a series of trials and tribulations, or we can choose to see life as an accumulation of treasures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In highschool we hosted an AFS student from Germany. Low and behold... shortly after she got here and from that day forward she has been considered my sister! I have heard her travel stories and would love to grab a piece of that.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is probably what I have the most time for but I enjoy reading and movies. Whenever I can, I enjoy heading out to concerts and finding new bands! My variety in music is so diverse, I don't like the killer type rap or screaming rock where you can't make out anything but possibly the first and last word. Other than that I will try it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

EHHH, amazing! How do you pick something amazing? The smallest things please me, but I guess I can tell you about my favorite place on earth. Victoria, BC the gardens there- I love them and I feel at such peace whenever I can visit. I really enjoy seeing the true things about a city, sure the touristy parts are fun but take me "behind the scenes"!

Teach, Learn, Share

I seem to be able to work my way through things, I am pretty persistant. I have been told that I have some pretty good computer skills and seeing that is where I spend my weekdays, I guess I could see why, so happy to help with resume building if you have the words. I can also help to search things out on the internet. If you ever need help in the hotel industry with questions or working it, yeah I think it would be a breeze to help you out! No matter what I am willing to try!
