Hi!
I'm Hugo, originally from Holland, have lived in the US for the last 3 years, I work in the banking industry.
Open minded, free spirited, outgoing and always interested to meet people.

Starting in Sept 2017, I will be saying goodbye to the corporate world for a while to fulfill other dreams while traveling and living in different locations.
Starting in South America, the rest I will plan along the way ;)
So starting Sept 1st I will temporarily not be able to host until I have a suitable place to receive guests in again :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Obviously I'm interested in traveling and one of the best ways for me to travel has always been to know or meet up with locals to really get an idea of what the place is about, rather than just checking off tourist sites :)
Also I really enjoy hosting people, providing the same experience to someone else.
I’ve been lucky enough to be able to host a variety if great people in Jersey City over the past few months and I’m hoping to be able to continue hosting in whatever part of the world I’ll end up living next :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a broad taste in music and let the music I listen to be determined by the moment, from EDM in the shower to Classical on a lazy Sunday to an intermediate guitar player with a less than ideally tuned guitar at a bonfire on a beach with some amazing people... Music has the power to complement or even heighten an already amazing moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm an avid motorcycle rider, less in practice the last few years due to relocating but always in heart.
Riding on the racetrack is about as happy as it gets for me, closely followed by the one tandem parachute jump I've done, which is desperately pending follow up with completing my AFF :)
