Overview
About Me
My name is Hester (34), I'm married to Menno (35) and we have two daughters; Fien (6) and Juul (2). We live in a lovely village, surrounded by nature and still only 10 minutes away from Utrecht (by train). Both born and raised in big cities (Utrecht and Rotterdam), we now enjoy living in a small town in the forest. It's a great place to raise our children!
I work for the government and in my spare time I enjoy geocaching, baking and spending time with friends and family.
My husband is a chemistry teacher and enjoys gardening, running and watching series (especially BBC).
We both love playing board games.
I'm a vegetarian, but my husband and daughters do eat meat (not too much though). I love cooking and mainly cook vegetarian meals. I like trying new things and learning to cook foreign dishes.
My husband and I were both scouts ever since we were kids and enjoyed many years of volunteering in scouting. We recently stopped to invest more time in our family and other hobbies.
We love traveling. I lived abroad three times during my studies, which really broadened my horizon. As we're young parents, we are currently exploring "our part" of the world. There is still much to discover in Europe!
If you like to stay with us, please show me in your message that you've read my profile. There's lots of info here and we would love to know what made you decide to write to us!
