CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
I was born in central Vietnam to lovely hard-working parents. Our family of seven immigrated to the US in the early ‘90s. We were sponsored by a relative in San Jose, CA and have been living there ever since.
After I graduated from UC Davis in 2007 with a degree in biochemistry, I was accepted to medical school at University of Wisconsin. I graduated medical school in 2012 and moved back to Califrnia for residency.
PHILOSOPHY
Be thankful for what you have and help others whenever possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard about couch surfing from a forum many years ago but haven't had the opportunity to try it out until this year. I'll be flying around the country quite a bit for residency interviews. CS is a perfect opportunity to get the know the people living in the city because it might be where I'll end up in the future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first CS experience was in early November 2011. It was awesome! I should have done this a long time ago when I first heard about CS. All my CS experience since November has been wonderful. I'm so grateful to have met so many great friends all over the country. I look forward to meeting new ones in the future. 1. Nov '11 - surfed in Chicago, IL w/ Paul Kaufmann2. Interests
As for hobbies, I enjoy playing volleyball and badminton. I used to compete in small volleyball tournaments in the Bay Area with my team, Airborne. I still play occasionally with random friends I’ve made at the gym and sand courts in town. I haven’t played badminton in a long time, but I used to be on the varsity team back in high school. I’m a sports fan in general. I follow college football, the NFL, NHL, NBA, etc.
