About Me

I grew up in a peaceful countryside in Vietnam, but with a dream to explore the world, I allowed myself to step out of the safe zone
I set foot in places I had never been to, tasted foods I had never eaten, and experienced different cultures which made me fall more in love with life. I know that in everyone's life, there will be some regrets, but I hope that in my youthful years, they will not be wasted, they will be as bright as fireworks (though short, they still shine and make those who see them happy).
I enjoy running, hiking, and going on long trips when I have enough time. Sometimes I feel like I'm older than my peers. Instead of soft drinks, I prefer drinking water or tea. Instead of going shopping, I prefer wandering around the garden planting new types of plants or simply cooking for those around me (although I'm not very good at cooking). I'm not someone who has the habit of reading books, listening to music, or watching TV, but I can spend hours walking my beloved dog along the beach, joining a running club with new friends, or volunteering. I am described as friendly, outgoing, and trustworthy when interacting or conversing with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Most of the people I've met over the past twenty years, they're generally good people (or perhaps I always tend to focus on their strengths first). I also hope to engage in a community where I can receive help from others or extend assistance to others in my way, and then potentially become friends, learning something new like language or culture along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I also enjoy listening to instrumental music, particularly piano and violin pieces from some of the animated films produced by Studio Ghibli.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2018, My third year of university. After a year of saving money from part-time jobs, I embarked on my first overseas trip. It was my first time witnessing the breathtaking hot air balloons in Myanmar.

In 2019, on a super-budget trip, I bought a train ticket from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, and then traveled by car from Ho Chi Minh City to Cambodia. After a few days of eating and sleeping in the car, I finally set foot in Angkor Wat temple.

At the beginning of 2020, I celebrated my birthday and the new year in Malaysia and Singapore within 7 days. After that, I managed to complete a trip to Thailand (diving to see coral reefs for only about $18) before the pandemic struck.

Teach, Learn, Share

You know, to integrate quickly, learning about culture, language, and people is necessary...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook various Asian dishes, particularly Vietnamese cuisine from my homeland. Additionally, I know how to make some beverages and vegetable salads. I don't mind doing household chores and gardening in my spare time. Moreover, I'm willing to listen to or share about the things that have happened or are happening in life.
