ABOUT ME

I am generally more comfortable in a forest than in a crowded city. That said Toronto is one of my favourite places. I get lost a lot.
I like pubs, Canadians, dogs, new music. I tend to listen more than talk but I am happy to discuss any topic; police militarization in the US or which Teletubby is the coolest.

PHILOSOPHY
I tend to travel when there is a big question to ponder.

Hosted and been hosted a buncha times. Everyone has been pretty great.

Intereses

I like to Scuba dive, getting the Dry suit license next so I can dive Iceland. I like cooking (and generally will cook for hosts if there is time), coffee and tea, bookshops, cameras, birds, dogs... Outdoors stuff like rock climbing, rowing, sailing.
Anything to do with oceans and large bodies of water. I am interested in marine ecosystems.
Tea and food take up much of my time. I like old things, bad horror movies, trees, dancing like a dork. Comedy folk duos.

Movies: Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Miyazaki, Tarantino, Ask, there are too many.

Tv: Scrubs, The IT Crowd, Parks & Rec, British wildlife documentaries.

Books: History, fiction, fantasy, non-fiction, classics, whatever. Just finished Book thief, now reading Gone Postal.

Music: At the moment I listen to Bonobo, Tycho, Baths, Emancipator but I also like folk, blues, indie rock, regular rock, classical and classics, electronica, sigurros. Always interested in hearing new stuff and music in other languages.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Swam with sharks, manta, rays, turtles, jellyfish schools all in one day. Seen nesting turtles on the Great Barrier Reef in Oz.

Climbed up a giant sand dune in the Sahara in total darkness to watch the stars. Then tumbled back down.

Bought a monkey and set it free so it wouldn't get eaten.

Saw Daft Punk live.

I can teach a bit of guitar, how to cook some Thai food, snowboard, longboard, random facts about whales and wildlife.

How to survive a drop-bear attack, very important for anyone traveling to Aus.
