ABOUT ME
Currently I'm a student living in Tübingen, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. I'll be living here for one year working on my German, studying history, culture, all that stuff. I used to live in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam. Did a lot of traveling while living there, planning to do more while living in Germany.
Originally I come from the US, from a small town north of San Francisco. It's about an hours drive and in a very beautiful part of the state with lots of redwood trees. I moved to Europe because I wanted to see the world. Ever since my grandmother took me on a trip to the UK when I was 11 I've had a strong desire to travel and meet the people of the world.
I try and get along with everyone, and for the most part it tends to work out. Friends tend to describe me as easygoing and amicable.
PHILOSOPHY
The world is too big and too awesome to spend it all at home.
In the later years of life, it is only the things that were left undone that will be regretted.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surf and let people know who is trustworthy and safe to stay with. If I had more than a tiny apartment and a couch, I would certainly let anyone come and stay.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None...yet. Working on it though!
Interests
Music, drumming, origami, papercrafting, learning languages.
I spend a lot of my time doing various artsy things, making paper sculptures, recycling old stuff into statues, carving pumpkins around Halloween (Can't help it, being from the US), these sorts of things. Anything that lets me be creative is something I enjoy.
And of course traveling. I always find the places least traveled to be the most interesting. Some of my best travel experiences have been in countries, cities, and places that no one back in the States has ever heard of.

Music, Movies, and Books
Big fan of classic rock. Old British and US bands like The Who, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rush (except they're Canadian), and so on.
I'm pretty bad at keeping up with movies, even though I enjoy them. Always loved the original Planet of the Apes movies. Pretty much any movie is good I'm interested in, and even the bad ones. Nothing fun quite like a night with friends and beer making fun of bad movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent a day wandering around Chernobyl, thus completing a life-long goal. Wandering around Liechtenstein for two days was also pretty cool.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine
Countries I’ve Lived In
France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Slovenia, Turkey, United States
