ABOUT ME

I like playing outside. Most of my life is spent touching rocks. Sometimes I am quiet when I touch the rocks, sometimes I scream or grunt while I touch the rocks. Sometimes I bring other people to the rocks and we touch them together. It has its ups and downs I suppose.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a sweet studio with a spare bed at my house in Dali which is almost never empty. The house has been hosting lots of people this last year, but through 2 different couchsurfing profiles of my other housemates. I am rarely on the computer as I don't own one.I almost never know exactly how many people are sleeping in my house.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only used couchsurfing once and it was fantastic.

Interessi

Rock climbing, mountaineering, being in beautiful natural places, art (painting, building, and designing) slacklining, reading, writing, learning new languages, hitchhiking, live theater, graphic novels, listening to music both live and recorded, board games, yoga, le parkour, buildering, poi, dabbling in martial arts (being used as a punching bag by my more serious friends), fine beer and passionate conversation.

Musica, film e libri

Lots and lots. Some of my favourite books are Naked Lunch, everything by Carl Sagan, The last child in the woods, The world without us, Zhuangzi, Dao de jing, Ishmael, The Road, Catch 22, notes from the underground, the moral landscape, I am a big fan of the poetry of Peter Orlovsky, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Corso, Ginsberg, that whole era. I have been reading almost exclusively non-fiction for the last year now.

Movies I could get down with at anytime include: Scott Pilgrim VS the world, natural born killers, rocky horror picture show, anything by Park Chan Wook, Brazil, Blazing Saddles, most things in the criterion collection, old samurai films, old horror films, and anything zombie related. Schlock is a guilty pleasure.

I watched a slug crawl across a road once. It took two hours.

Insegna, impara, condividi

I carry my slackline in my bag, and I will teach you how. It is sort of like tightrope walking, only much more interesting and challenging. I can also teach you how to climb and survive outdoors. I know some things about culture and religion. If you don't know any Mandarin at all, I can teach you some of what I know.
I want to learn everything.
