About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to figure out how the hell the world (various societies) works the way it does.
ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm currently a teacher in Bangkok, Thailand. I'm spending a couple/few years away from academia to get hands on experience and knowledge of my academic interests (sociology).
To this goal, I spent the last year teaching living and trying to understand life in a small village in Thailand. Now I'm hoping to do the same in the big city. Next year, I may end up doing the this as well in a smaller city up north, to flush out my experience before heading back towards academia.
I'm a socially awkward misfit always happy to meet, listen to, and have a good time with new people.
PHILOSOPHY
Life (and whatever may or may not come here-after) is too full of uncertainties to give-up on experiencing it. It is the only gift I know for certain I have, and the expiration date on this gift has not been given to me. In the mean time I'm going to do my best to understand and have a meaningful impact on those people who I'm sharing this experience with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to the CS Project, so I hope to fill this out more in the not-so-distant future.
Interests
You know all the generic stuff people say when they're afraid of new people judging them: Meeting new people, drinking coffee and enjoying a good book, talking to friends over a beer or 8, being a computer geek, you know, normal stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I love cheesy fantasy/sci-fi/superhero flicks, but haven't watched many movies lately.
Music: I listen to classic rock of all varieties on my own, and go to clubs that play hip-hop. I'm starting to understand techno/trance/house etc.... kinda.
Books: I'm an avid reader of fantasy novels. I typically go through 3-6 books a month depending on their length.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This all depends on your point of view and your own experiences. Some things I've done would seem dull and drab to a certain group of people, yet completely fascinate another group with wildly different experiences.
