About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I Just received a dispatch message from MI-6 with my new CMO (Current Mission Objective), it read: "Agent Hoffman, you are hereby ordered to take whatever risks are necessary to take cool photographs and meet awesome people." Then my phone exploded...

ABOUT ME

I am an outgoing and energetic person. I love to do things and talk about things. That statement might seem a bit general but I am very enthusiastic about all things cultural, artistic, earthly, social, sportive and even urban.

I grew up in Topanga Canyon, California which is a mountainous hippy town just north of Los Angeles. I have spent a very large portion of my life outside, hiking, climbing, riding my bike, skiing, surfing and chilling.

Now that I am in Europe and studying abroad in the Netherlands my life has become urban but all the same more and more interesting. I have met amazing people and I feel that I have crossed cultural barriers previously unknown to me.

I am studying physics in school and I can nerd out about computers, science and technology for days, but my true passion is in art. The human creative capacity is what separates man from machine and our aesthetic senses are fascinating to me.

I always carry my camera and shoot constantly, I keep a photo blog on my website:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to think that I relate well to other peoples interests. If you are passionate about something I want to experience it too.

The best way to experience a city and its culture is to immerse yourself in its people so I love to make new friends and see what they are up to in their daily lives.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once woke up with a cat sleeping on my head... I have slept in closets, on tables, under tables, on the rigging of sailboats and in the dirt but I obviously prefer a nice couch. I love to be outdoors so I choose to camp whenever I can. Your couch is like my urban tent!
