About Me
Hey everyone! I am from Hong Kong but I have lived in UK for three years. Trying to make the most out of my time by travelling around and meeting all the fellow travellers as well! I believe that people is the most important part that distinguishes between cultures so meeting locals would definitely make our trips more interesting. In the end we can share those experiences to others and potentially make them appreciate other cultures more:)
A great poem that inspires me by Robert Frost:
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I guess couchsurfing has always been a fascinating idea for me. I have read numerous blogs about how great people's experiences are and I believe couchsurfing enable me not only to see the other side of a place, but also allows people to share their experiences and develop stronger bondings. Sounds awesome!
After my first couchsurfing I regret not having started my travels with couchsurfing earlier, I had an amazing debate(positive) with my host and they surprised me with their shocking friendliness to a stranger like me. Without couchsurfing I doubt if I would have met those down-to-earth people with diverse perspectives. It's true the quantity of people you meet is reduced, but the quality makes it worthy. I believe in the near future, if possible, I will start hosting people and give back to CS a bit more :)
