ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Tracy and I'm 31, born and bred in Hong Kong, then spent half my life in Australia (Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide). Usually I work as a web designer but a year ago I decided to let go of everything to embark on a working holiday in France and UK. A much needed change in my life that helps me learn about the person that I am and appreciate what's at home and around the world. Now my year in Paris has come to a close and it is London Calling. Albeit during this time life's been a bit*h at times, I haven't regretted a single moment of this.

I love food and music and they're both great ways into other cultures while traveling. The best way to see a place would be asking locals on where to go, what to eat, what to see, what to listen. Any local tips would be much appreciated.

PHILOSOPHY

A few things that I live by:
- The more you see, the more you learn.
- Everyone's got their side of the story, you will always learn something by asking and listening.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've heard of Couchsurfing for a long time but haven't got a chance to participate until now. I'd like to get at taste of this so I can look into hosting when I'm home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm very new to couchsurfing. I'll get back to this once I found a few first hosts :)

Music, cooking, food (good food makes me smile! Even better to share with friends!), wine, dancing (salsa & zouk). I'm also learning French at the moment so I'm keen to practice!

My all time favourites are Depeche Mode, Trentemøller, Rufus Wainwright. I've been listening to a lot of Stromae at the moment. I also like live music, especially jazz.

TV/Movies
I like series like Breaking Bad, IT Crowd, Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, Family Guy and The Wire. I like mostly drama and documentaries, and movies that make you think. I like Quentin Tarantino's movies too.

Trying going to the beach at night when you can. It's quiet. Watching the stars while floating in the ocean is amazing!
