Movies: The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Wolf of Wall Street, Lost in Translation, Pans Labyrinthine, Magnolia, American Beauty, Eyes Wide Shut, Barry Lyndon The Shining....infact anything by Stanley Kubric....I like Quentin Tarentino too. Whilnail & I plus many more...
Music. Right now Jeff Buckly The Doors, David Bowie (of course) The Black Keys, Tom Waits, The Correspondents, Parov Stelar etc. Blues and Electro swing.
As for books. So many. A few are; Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrel, His Dark Materials, Lolita, Catch 22, 1984, The Sot-Weed factor, Lanark, Dracular, Anything by George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, Stephen King, Robert Louis Stevenson and Mark Twain. Dickens isn't bad either.
