About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have fun and travel more

ABOUT ME

My attempts at describing myself always seem to turn out as either a boring cliche or an online dating profile, but let's give it a try. I'm pretty easy-going, relaxed and friendly. I love a good talk over a nice cold beer. As everyone else in here, I love to travel the world. I'm doing a PhD degree in Copenhagen which gave me the opportunity to live in Sydney for half a year for my external stay, I loved it so much that my plan is to head back there once I finish my studies. I guess everything else about me you'll get to know when we meet.

PHILOSOPHY

Part of what I go by is pretty well described by this Calvin and Hobbes qoute: “We're so busy watching out for what's just ahead of us that we don't take time to enjoy where we are.”

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few people so far and it has been a lot of fun. So I look forward to meeting more people this way.

Interests

Besides travelling and meeting new people, which is the whole reason of being here in the first place, my free time is simply spent hanging out with friends. Often just having a long talk over a beer or two, but I also really like going to concerts when I feel like I have the money to spend on it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Two of the books that I like enough to read more than once is Slaughterhouse 5 and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, both just fantastic books. Some of the movies that are on the top of my list are Shawshank Redemption, Big Fish, and The Darjeeling Limited.Recently I have been listening to a lot of jazz, but otherwise it seems to be mostly Indie that I listen to. I'm always up for new suggestions and learning about new bands.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer a friend and I ran with the bulls in Pamplona. That moment where the bulls ran past me was both one of the scariest and most exciting moments in my life.
