Hi there! I am just finishing up my graduate degree at Kent State in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Ever since I was old enough to work, I have been burning the candle at both ends trying to put myself through school. Now that my studies are coming to a close, I am taking full advantage of this new-found freedom and doing what I've always wanted to do... travel the world! I am starting with a cross-country road trip and going abroad in June.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am not the richest of girls, but I am pretty friendly and free-spirited. I have heard good things about this site and would like to give it try to stretch my pennies and meet some cool locals along the way. My older sister will be accompanying me for a bit of my travels (she is super awesome) as we venture into the deep southern states. The rest of my trip I'll be riding solo.

Interests

I love live music, most humans, dogs, scary movies, and adventure. I did not travel all that much growing up, so I am interested in getting to know this great big world on a more personal level to really broaden my horizons before I settle down. Singing, dancing, socializing, hiking, and playing pool are a few of my hobbies. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all different types of music (cliche, i know), but I tend to gravitate towards indie/alternative stuff. Weezer, Dr. Dog, Spoon, and the Punch Brothers are a few of my favorites... but, I won't lie and say I don't rock out to a few top 40 hits every now and then.
