ABOUT ME

Lets see, I am a person that doesn't really fit into any one category. I am a very liberal free spirit with a grounded side that sometimes stops me from being as spontaneous as I'd like. I love to be outdoors doing things. I'm a very avid sailor and have worked as an instructor, raced competitively and worked/lived on larger boats. I love to snowboard and really just do anything outdoors. I'm very open to new things and really enjoy the more eclectic side of life. I went to a Military Boarding School for high school and loved it. My dream is to travel though with school and all my funds are very limited.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I don't have a couch but that won't stop me from hosting folks. I have an awesome recliner and an air mattress. I also hope to travel and stay on some folks couches or floors, thats what the sleeping bag is for.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Probably the most epic experience I have was a friend of mine and I drove up to Snowshoe, WV for a boarding trip my freshman year of college. Well our plan was to sleep in the truck on the bench seats seeing as how we were broke college students. However fate had a different idea on the way up we had a wreck but our truck still drove so we proceeded. An aside while we were dealing with the wreck a good 2 hours from where we were going we saw this car of boarders including a redheaded guy wearing a funky green hat. We got to Snowshoe with the weather at -11 F and a blizzard. We proceeded to have an epic day of boarding. We grabbed a shuttle to our car and my friend sees the redheaded guy with funky green hat and asks him if he saw our wreck on the way up to the mountain. He had and we joked made new friends and exchanged numbers thinking maybe we would split some brews later that nights. Then we got back to our car trying to decide what to do, but the heat wouldn't work so we decided to drive around and get it going. Well long story short our radiator was busted and thus where we were staying was shot (it was -28 that night and my bag was only rated for like -8. Anyways we ended up hitchhiking to the motel where those guys were staying and they let us crash in there room. It was an epic adventure. I'll tell ya about it if you surf my couch or vice-a-versa. I'm not the best writer.

Interests

Sailing, snowboarding, being outdoors, nightlife. I tend to get fascinated with just about anything. It is easy to catch my attention.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a summer running a boat in Maine. One of the most amazing times of my life. I got to live on an awesome boat, meet amazing folks, in the most beautiful place on the east coast.
