Full time human, part time cynic.

I'm always down for being outside and going somewhere new. I was a military brat and moved around a lot when I was young. Moving around a lot as a young adult came easily. I lived in Texas, Virginia, Florida, and New Mexico before deciding to settle down in Michigan in my mid 20s. Living in the same area since 2000 is a very different experience. To scratch the 'new experience' itch, I accept offers to try something new as often as possible.

I live with my fiancee. He's great! We have a private room with a twin bed and can blow up an air mattress. We have a dog and three cats.

I have three children - only one still at home (part-time). I managed to complete my BS and MS in nerdery while making three humans. I've volunteered at the museum for their STEM program, pulled invasive species from the county parks, coached middle school STEM programs, and jumped in streams to do macroinvertebrate surveys (bugs can tell us a lot about ecosystem health). Currently, I'm into harm reduction.

I'm always down for meeting new people and making new friends. Kick out one of the kids from their room and crash there. Blow up an air mattress and drop it on my office floor. Pitch a tent in the back yard. Pass out on the couch. Or...I'll chill at your place where ever there's room.

I'm down for hanging out with you a lot or not at all. Let's have dinner and drinks somewhere swanky or enjoy a dive bar with great fries. I'm open to answer questions about Grand Rapids and meet up if you're bored. I have a pretty flexible schedule. Let's chat!

I've been feeling old country lately (Patsy, Johnny, Dolly...). That's weird. We never listened to country when I was a kid. I've also had a hankering for Motown. Mostly, I'm a metal chic. I'm old - but not too old to mosh.

I read a lot. Usually Sci-Fi and mommy-trash romance. I read a lot of garbage. I'm too cheap to buy any books on my tablet over $3.99.

I like all sorts of movies - horror, comedy, sci fi, drama, foreign, what ever. Even really bad movies...
