About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To catch all the impressions I can somehow get during my time in Ireland!

ABOUT ME

Hi there! I'm a german student living in Ireland for half a year, writing my thesis for university. I'm looking for nice and friendly people to have a good time with. During my stay, I want to experience as much of the island as possible! Anyone out there who's in the mood for a coffee, drink or any other things to do?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until now I only surfed couches (Dublin, Stockholm, Prague), never hosted any people. But don't get me wrong, I just haven't had the possibility till now. Hope the situation will change someday, so that I can give back what people gave to me and show people the city where I'm living, Hamburg.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS is amazing, there is simply no other possibility to get to know places and people so fast and intense! I'm no CS-veteran at all, but so far I met so different people, who were great all together :)

Interests

Having a good time while on this planet!

Others: Music (listening, concerts, playing keyboard...not well...i'd love to play the piano!), thinking about the next place to visit, hanging out with friends, keeping fit, watching movies, parties, have a chilled beer during a barbecue in summertime in the park

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies, music, books? I like music the most, that's for sure: Biffy Clyro, Incubus, Bush, The Mars Volta, Placebo, Muse, Audioslave, Mumford & Sons, REM, Counting Crows to name just a few. There's so many good bands. Music has to transport emotion, no matter what kind of, that's the point!

Movies: Lord Of The Rings (no other movie is so packed with emotion, depth and action at the same time, and soundtrack is awesome...), The Dark Knight, Matrix I, Oldboy, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, Blow, Forrest Gump, Fight Club, Thank You For Smoking, Sin City, 300, Into The Wild, Avatar, Tarantino-Stuff, ...

Books: Hermann Hesse, Friedrich Nietzsche (well I read only one, Zarathustra), Ken Follet, J.R.R. Tolkien, Douglas Adams, Stephen King (The Dark Tower, stunning!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Laying in your sleeping-bag around the fire in the middle of nowhere in the African bush, not any light except for the stars, hearing sounds you never heard before from animals you haven't seen before, a leopard roaming around your camp, you don't know how near he is, you get scared and are freezing at the same time. That's real life. - And I'll never forget it, this was insane!

Thinking of the travels I've done, for each one pops up at least one scene in my mind which is unforgettable, somehow special. That's what makes travelling one of the best things to do in life!

Teach, Learn, Share

Could somebody just show me how to cook a really good meal without having to look up endless recipes?? I'm not a good cook, but I wish I was!
I'm sure it will be fun ;) I already learned how to make really GOOD scones for a beginning.
