About Me

Hi ya!
I'm Holly - from New Zealand. I consider myself to be pretty laid back, friendly and sociable but also independent and low maintenance :)

I studied International Relations and International Development in university and then worked in the domestic violence sector before heading off for a year off - and have spent the year mostly doing different workaways around the United Kingdom and also doing the Camino de Santiago in Spain which I would 100% recommend to anyone!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would really love to meet local people, make new friends, and get a taste of what local life is really like in the places I'm visiting.
Also free accommodation is a great idea :)

Interests

I am really into art (drawing, painting, making things out of recycled materials) and enjoy creative projects and working with my hands. I love yoga and meditation and am really interested in spirituality in whichever form. In my free time, I love reading and going for walks and checking out the local nature and architecture :) I enjoy going to local events to get to know the place I’m visiting and am always open for recommendations

Music, Movies, and Books

Love all kinds of music - prefer music with actual instruments and love anything live but I like most stuff
As far as films - all those alternative, film festival style ones, films based on a true story, black mirror style :)
And books - a lot of spirituality books at the moment but anything from general fiction, books based on true stories and biographies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently the most amazing thing I've done was the Camino de Santiago which I absolutely loved.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share stories - life stories, travel stories, opinions, experiences :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Other than sharing experiences - I'm more than happy to cook/clean to express my gratitude for hosting me!
I'm not the world's greatest cook but if you don't mind that, I'm happy to! *Vegetarian but won't try to convert you :P
