** Quick note until I have a chance to update this more fully: no longer in Korea! I've taken to the road on two wheels and have cycled in Korea, Japan, and now Europe. Currently in Ireland for two weeks and then I'll be going home for the first time in over a year. **

I've been afflicted with wanderlust, and intense curiosity to meet as many incredible people, try as many unique foods and activities and experiences, and learn as much as I can in life. We have too little time here not to take chances, stay up all night, and make friends with strangers. So if you see me on a street near you, say hi :) I love my home country and meeting fellow Canadians, but life is richest when we can learn about the cultures and experiences of those all around the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been out of the CS loop lately, but now that I'm based in Korea I'm hoping to connect with Koreans and expats, make new friends here and maybe host in my small apartment! (It depends on the situation).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've stayed with a few hosts in Australia, and met cool international folk at Couchsurfing events there and back home in Canada. I'd love to give back and take a turn hosting, but so far it hasn't been feasible.

Hiking, biking, running, yoga, cooking, poi, dancing (skilled or unskilled in equal measure). Fermented food and drink (kvass, kombucha, kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut, makgeolli- all good!) Reading good books and watching quality films, and discussing the weird and wonderful world we live in.

I can help people with their English through conversational practice, or show you how to make a mean bowl of kimchi jjigae.

I tried my hand at making makgeolli in Korea and I'd love to give that another attempt.

I'm pretty successful with cooking in general, and after nine months in Korea I am more than happy to whip up some gamjatang, soondubu jjigae, bibimnaengmyeon- whatever you want! That, or some banana bread, butter chicken, Nanaimo bars- I'll give it my best effort.

I also am happy to bring some alcabevvies or help in the garden!
