Grew up in Guernsey, travelled around a bit, (lots of time in France, UK, and New Zealand, South/East Africa (Kenya to Botswanna), Greece, Cyprus, the Inka trail Peru, Borneo, Cambodia, inter-railing through Europe and random city breaks to Oslo and Maastricht, short trips to Sweden, Croatia, Spain).
Lived in the UK for a few years after leaving school for University and work. Moved back to Guernsey for a couple of years before taking the plunge to move and teach somewhere far away.. arrived in Greymouth, New Zealand and have been here 3 years now!

I love travelling, but my job is extremely time and energy consuming so I don't get out and about as much as I'd like. So meeting people who are travelling through gives me similar experiences that are as close as I can get to travelling during term time.

Sometimes I will be too busy with work though so please don't take it personally if I'm not free. Also I like getting out to places on the weekends so if you're around I'd love if you invited me along even if it's not in greymouth itself :) I can sleep in my car but it's not self contained. Love hiking :)

Sometimes the spontaneity of a decision can make it seem amazing, and I've done quite a few trips at short notice, so I guess my family waking up to me being packed and needing a lift to the harbour :D

I have a spare room, with a single mattress and also some foam, so 2 can sleep in there. Simple house by the beach.
