ABOUT ME

I'm quiet at first, but once you get to know me, you'll realize I'm rather ridiculous. I'm an absolute nerd about literature and art and a handful of other random topics. I find all sorts of things arbitrarily delightful, try to see the best in people, and generally hope to end today in a slightly more awesome world than the day before.
I'm a third year student of theology and literature, hoping to see a bit of the world before I (eventually) become an English teacher.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm going to steal from John Green on this one:
"Don't forget to be awesome."
Also, stories. We're in an epic one, we might as well live like it.

I'm currently studying abroad, and hoping to see a bit of the world while I do it!
Hopefully, when I'm a bit more established back home, I'll be able to host...

Interests

I love stories--reading, writing, listening, telling. I think of life as a story and like meeting interesting characters, going on adventures...
I like seeing places I've read about, drawing dinosaurs on napkins, learning to cook, and dancing. Also, I love sharing coffee and conversation, whether about movies, experiences, or ideas of how to live life well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm such a nerd about literature. Give me Tolkien, Shakespeare, Huxley, Wilder, Neruda, Lewis, Heller, and the list goes on and on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I went camping up in the Adirondacks, our group came back from a night hike to find that the sky was perfectly clear and we could see the Milky Way stretched out over the lake. Lying on a rock, looking up into that infinity... that was a moment I shan't forget.

Also, on one of my first nights here in St Andrews, we found our way to the old Cathedral ruins. Seeing--and touching--something that incredibly old (older than my country!)and majestic was awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to teach social ballroom dancing... I'd love to do a bit of that again.
I'm always up for learning how to cook something new and delicious!
