ABOUT ME

I'm a proud, positive dredlocked kiwi - and yes I do wash my hair! I grew up on a yacht in the Marlborough Sounds of New Zealand and was homeschoolled, untill we moved into the 'big city' of Nelson. I've been a baker, a web developer and a fundraiser, along with random other ventures. I lived in Melbourne for a year, now am in Ireland for a year, I'm absolutely IN LOVE with the ocean - now enough about me what about you!

PHILOSOPHY

I am passionate about living - I believe in experiences, meeting good people, staying close and loyal to nature, and remaining positive in the strangest of situations. Travelling and conversing in this beautiful world has taught me alot especially about myself, so its time I learnt more about everything else.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think this is a rad idea of immersing oneself in the community, meetin locals, living happily in another's country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still sorta a newby here at the CS Project - but I have lived on many a couch, armchairs, cupboards, even under beds - so storing me in your home won't be a problem, even if you have a tired old broken one with wire sticking out. Even then I'd probably still do your dishes. So I'm not fussy...!

兴趣

For a loooong time I have wanted to visit Ireland, so one strong interest would be Ireland. I'm here now, so everything I do interests me. I love exploring and walking around. Some other things I love: hiking, reading, drawing, painting, talking, having a pint, appreciating music, laughing, swimming (yes I do that here just try and stop me), boats, bonfires, nature, friends, the sea, FOOD (vegetarian!), and life in general.

I love so many types of music but Sublime sums up almost all my favourite things about a band. I love our chilled dub from NZ, got into some weird shit in Melbourne, the sound of a guitar by a bonfire (no not on one) soft rock, old rock, blues, jazz, new things and old.
I like so many films, wierd and wonderful ones like Donny Darko, Eternal Sunrise of the Spotless mind, Black Snake Moan, - and old old personal favourites like the Princess Bride, Drop Dead Fred, the Sea Gypsies... i won't be ashamed of my alltime favourites!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I walked up the volcano on Tanna in Vanuatu, and sat on one side of the crator. It's an active lava volcano which goes off every couple of minutes. We then slept in a treehouse where we could see the volcano out the window and hear the monster roar all night long, totally incredible.

BUT - I also get really excited about breakfast pretty much every single day.

I have some Photoshopping skills I'd be willing to share! To be honest I really want to learn as much as possible about EVERYTHING, mainly involving health and conservation of the environment. I also love old stories and legends, and want to inspire myself more about getting back into art so if you're an artist please let me see/hear some of your work.
