ABOUT ME

I am a fun loving, down to earth person with a serious case of the travel bug! I have a good sense of humor and love to laugh.. mostly at myself!I love to travel and feel that everytime I do....I learn more about myself, other people and life in general then I do doing ANYTHING else! I am willing to try anything (at least once) and I love meeting people from all walks of life. I accept and embrace people with all different viewpoints, backgrounds and lifestyles. I have a wide array of talents ranging from professional, artistic, educational and life experience that I would love to share with other people. More or less... I'VE PROBABLY BEEN THERE AND DONE IT.. and if not... I WANT TOO!!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By opening up my home, life and experiences to other travelers. In addition, I hope to stay with fellow CS people when I am traveling and can't wait to have some great experiences!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couch surfing more or less for years while traveling, not specifically through this project but in general. But I have had the oppurtunity to make some wonderful friends.

I love any and all types of music. If I hear it and like it, I will continue to listen to it. If I don't like it, I will appreciate it for the hard work that was put into it and prbably not buy it! Favorites include: Hoover Phonics, Alice in Chains,Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Sound Garden, Drop Kick Murphys, Prince, The Outfield, Bob Marley, Foo Fighters
Books-- various depending upon my mood... I really enjoy Marion Keyes.. she cracks me up everytime Movies- don't get me started.. but mostly anything funny.. !! Anchor Man and Zoolander are my current favorites. Pulp Fiction, Requiem For Dream, Bronx Tale

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The most amazing thing I have ever done was bring food and supplies and a whole library of books to an orphanage in Nicaragua.. very rewarding and humbling..
In addition, I will always remember the first moment of travel that took my breath away and changed me forever.. when I went to Mexico with my father in high school.. I had never been anywhere.. in fact only had seen the ocean one time before in passing.. I remember upon arriving at our hotel in Mexico.. I walked out to see the beach.. smelling the sea air.. the warm wind in my face.. standing there watching the most amazing clear aqua waves crashing.. feeling so small yet so big.. cant really explain the feeling but it brought tears to my eyes, my father walked out and put his arm around me, he knew what I was feeling.. it was our first real bonding experience of my life.. and since nothing has been the same. I have been crazy about travel in constant search of that same feeling over and over when I see or experience new things! I even still travel with my father every year!

Well-- I hope first and foremost to share any of the life experience, stories and positive thoughts that I posses. In addition- I am a tidy and grateful house guest that is willing and open to learn new things. I know there are many things I still need to discover about myself and I know that the CS project will help me with this. I am a good cook.. and I have no issues with being asked to help around the house! I have been a massage therapist for seven years and I would love to teach (those who I have the pleasure of staying with) about massage, and work on them if they would like.) One thing I want to do is practice speaking and learning the language of the country I am staying in! If nothing else I can sing to you!!
