I'm from the northeast US (Worcester) and I love learning languages and working at the intersection of politics, technology and activism.

My wife Giseli and daughter Martina are Brazilian, so we've lived a lot in Brazil, mostly in Rio but also in São Paulo and Belém.

I'm into karaoke, dance parties, living on sailboats and creative kinds of travel and life. We live in a collective house we started in my city where people share chores and meals.

So basically I'm an American from New England navigating cross cultural marriage and family, in a very wild world, trying to be creative and practical about it.

I like traveling cheap and flexibly. Usually I stay with friends or friends of friends, sometimes in the US or safer countries I'll just meet people who are into similar stuff and stay with them. Like camping and stuff like that too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Really liked Pynchon when I was a teenager. Long novels by people way smarter than me, Virginia Woolf, those Russian guys... I don't read much though.

Dance music like anything from Jamaica, Trinidad or the DR, stuff like that. Lots of nicer, chiller rock and other stuff too. Kate Bush. Anna Meredith. Fleetwood Mac. Arthur Russel. New hip hop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I threw an 800 person rave in abandoned train tunnel under an interstate highway.

My friend and I stopped an American website blocking bill by getting Wikipedia & 115,000 other websites to go dark in protest. I've done a bunch of other cool political work at Fightforthefuture.org too.

Now I'm working on a startup to make it really easy to find teachers and caregivers for kids.
