About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to jump and jump and jump and jump! ooOOoo

ABOUT ME

Ha! that's a tough question!
i guess you simply have to ask my friends or meet me in person!
But i think i'm an optimistic, friendly person, always undecided and yes, quite confused sometimes and very moody in the mornings... (just to warn you!)

PHILOSOPHY

personal philosophy?!

that's one of those things i can't properly describe cause it depends on my mood and i guess the easiest way is to quote someone...
but i won't do that. okay i will.
There it is:

"Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm."

- Sir Winston Churchill.

it's not my personal philosophy, it's more something to cheer me up. thanks winston!

and before i forgot:

all you need is love ;)
(don't we all love the Beatles?!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

1. Axel in Stockholm; he hosted my friend and me for 1 week and showed us his Stockholm. i can't wait to see him again this summer!

2. Chompu in Bangkok: I’d be completely lost without her, Bangkok is just massive and nothing for a country girl like me

3. Free hugs gathering in London!!!!!

4. Pete in Cornwall, he's such a sweetheart and I hope I can meet up with him again.

5. Jose & Nikolas from (more or less France) were surfing my couch

6. I spent a weekend in Dublin and crashed Calum inflatable mattress + CS meeting

7. I hosted Frankie from Glasgow over the Beltane fire festival :)

8. Surfing Dieter’s couch and hanging out with him and Makzim in Belgium

9. Pete from Cornwall came of to visit me and to see the Fringe festival in Edinburgh

Interests

my plan for the next year is to see as much of the world as i can.
right now i'm in uk and try to discover how to make the perfect cup of tea (the biggest challenge in my life so far *lol*) and after long, hard lessons i think i'm finally approaching my aim.
but as soon as i figured out how that works i want to move to another country, haven't settle which one
i'm in love with asia ever since i've been there (mostly the east part)
thought i was born in asia (in a part which is russia today) one of the things i really want to do is to go to the place i was born.

i used to play guitar (not particularly good) but i had to stop after I broke my arm in an accident.
i'm looking to get a new guitar to start again (if you're selling a nice fender telecast, write me!!! ) :)

and i used to cycle a lot but i left my bike in germany.
anyway, it's a bit hard to cycle in Edinburgh anywayâ

Music, Movies, and Books

i'm addicted to music!! can't get enough.
i usually start my day with my record player and fall asleep while listening to music.
what i listen to depends on my mood. but my all time favourite is pink floyd.
now i'm listening to little man tate and billy talent, amy winehouse, rolling stones, milburn, arctic monkeys, rory gallagher (yes, i love blues) and the good old hendrix, of course!

movies... hmm... there're lots of good movies but actually i don't have the patience to watch them!
the last good movie i saw was 'the life of the others' a german movie (which i highly recommend but not because it's german, it's just a brilliant movie)

i spend most of my time (apart from music) with books. the best books i've read are Charles Dickens "oliver twist" and "the strange case of dr. jekyll and mr. hyde" i guess that was robert l. stevenson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

amazing things ive done:

-i cycled to italy from the south of bavaria (germany) when I was 16, that was good fun (until it started to rain)
i only did it to see venice again tho. its one of my favourite places

- i climbed ben nevis (big achievement for me)

- doing a wheelie on my motorcycle (i had an accident with the same bike 6 months after :S but it wasnt my fault...)

- I celebrated my 17th birthday in Venice together with my exboyfriend and my best friend, including a gondola ride on the grand canal
- my 18th in Bangkok, well, it was on the flight from Munich to Bangkok and it wasn’t the best one cause I was pretty jet lagged in Thailand
-my 19th in the arctic circle in Sweden, it was round midsummer and the sun didn’t go down so we had 24 hours sunshine

And im planning to party in oslo for the next one…

Teach, Learn, Share

i can teach you how to play 'smoke on the water' on the guitar.
i know it's easy and if you want to learn 'stairway to heaven' i'll teach you that ;)

and i would share one of my award-winning (made with love of course) sandwiches with you. that's all i can make with food, but hey, at least something.
who needs a 5 star, 3-course dinner when you can have a good self-made sandwich?!

i want to learn so many languages (spanish, french, italian, chinese, japanese...) so if you can speak anything else apart from german, teach my as much as you can!
i'll probably forget everything within an hour but one day I will remember what hello in turkish is...
