I have recently moved from the wonderful prairies of Canada to Gent, Belgium. While travelling a couple years back, I met a wonderful Belgian gal named Karolien. Karolien moved to Canada with me for a year. And now we're in beautiful Gent!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on (and still remain on) couchsurfing, because ever since my first surf back in 2007, I have had nothing but positive experiences with people. I still continue to keep in touch with the people I meet through this site. I just had lunch last week in Belgium with two people I hosted in Canada.

I like these types of things. I'll try to keep them going.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a very large range of music - from leonard cohen to ween to wilco to arcade fire to niel young to Fela. I like putting a record on the turntable and enjoying a coffee or a beer or a lemonade.

Movies and books - I do those too, but I'm moving on to the next box

Watched the sun rise at the summit of mt. kilimanjaro.

Teach, Learn, Share

I just think that couchsurfing is a great platform for people to get together and share ideas and stories. People who otherwise most likely would not have crossed paths.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Pending our schedules, we have plenty of space and (sometimes) time! Given circumstances, I love to get out and show the wonderful city of gent, if that's what you're down for. Or perhaps enjoy a meal together. Or maybe just meet for a coffee.
