About Me

CURRENT MISSION

mission - what a great word! Maybe to be honest, see the nice things of life, appreciate every day!

ABOUT ME

I'm a openminded, easygoing funny Person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to travel and to get to know different countries and other cultures. As a tourist you often see only the surface, and it is easier to find out the real life whith somebody who isnt a stranger like me. So I could help to show sombody else our life and "translate" our society.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We started with couchsurfing in Ireland and France. Now we visited also Latvia and Italy and at least we had a lot of guests from all over the world. It's nice to know more about other countries and cultures.

Interests

I'm interested in books, in history, in culture in general. I like films, art etc.
In summer I spend most of my time with or without my family outside in our garden or hiking in the forest or hills nearby or touring on our bikes. I´m a great mushroomfan (the real ones - no drugs!). In autum I like to go as often I can for mushrooms.
Our family is quiet active.
I like to cook, to bake and to eat good food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of different books, but when I had to vote for one author, I would choice the early Paul Auster.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled a lot in the former Soviet Union to the farest edges of the country in the time of political changes. I visited China, and South America and had a lot of interesting experiences there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like languages and I always try to keep new words. Especially words with a second connotation. Did you know, that the russian word for pillow means also "under the soul"? Is'nt it nice?
