ABOUT ME

Hey folks!

So, this is me - Jakob - 24 years of age and pretty much a musician. I study musicology and ethnology since 2004 and no end in sight. This leaves plenty of space going traveling and working with all kinds of musicians. I do like all sorts of things like reading, sports, films... so nothing special. Just an ordinary guy who wants to see the world before it all comes to an end ;)

I can't really list all those things so, currently i am working on my own music. But then there is the great Joe Zawinul, Richard Bona, Miles Davis, George Duke, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea... there are just too many...! Books: Bukowski, Dahl, Márquez, Droste, Mann, Brecht, Tucholsky...

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

If I had to chose one travel which I could do again right away it would be seeing the Bromo vulcanos on Java/Indonesia. I went there on my own with little, little money during the ramadan. No other tourists, the solitude in the early morning while walking to the vulcano... A five hour walk though the sand around Bromo... no people at all, silence - just the own breath.

Hmmmmmm... want a guitar or bass lesson? Or the other way round ;) Or if there's enough time we can discuss the philosophy of John Cage's music or Malinowski's travels to the archipelagos in the western pacific.
