About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world with my art!

ABOUT ME

Hello! I am a free-spirited smiley person with a sunny disposition even through the grey and rainy days in Vancouver, B.C. I am easy to get along with, and have a deep appreciation for positive people!

PHILOSOPHY

I am inspired by Maurice Merleau-Ponty's notion of the virtual and the actual. That, everything, everywhere, everyone is full of imaginable and unimaginable potential, teeming with energy, waiting to break through the film of past and present and into reality of the ever present.

I live a life of passion and vocation to the arts, particularly in music, and performance. I am interested in people and in how people perform human behaviors. The mundane and meticulous is fascinating to me, and it is in these trivial events that I find connections between the unknown and the familiar.

Interests

I am currently a Masters of Fine Arts student at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. Predominantly, I write music and create theatrical performances, but I also make installation and performance art. I LOVE reading books, practice zen meditation, and am trying to achieve astral projection. Being in Vancouver is great because I get to hike throughout the year and that satisfy my love for the outdoors. I love animals, though I don't have pets at present. I also love karaoke and dancing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing on ancient stairs of the Great Wall and standing on it was amazing even though the experience is a little too commercialized for me. Seeing what it is now and knowing the historical context of this place contributed to my experience in China.

Mountain goats, grizzly bears, eagles, moose, and all kinds of wildlife amazed me while I weave through the canyons within the Canadian Rockies. The glaciers glimmer on top of mountains that surround you, and on top of you is the blue blue sky. Not to mention all the climbing routes for all the rock-heads out there.

Hiking in East Sooke on Vancouver Island in a t-shirt in February is another reason why British Columbia is a great place to live. The flora changes drastically when you turn into a tiny inlet and enter the rainforest.
