About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make new friends along the PanAmerican highway!
ABOUT ME
James and Lauren here. We are currently embarking on an epic journey down the Pan-American highway in our 1987 Toyota 4Runner. We sold all of our belongings, quit our jobs and hit the road on Nov, 1st 2011. Our ultimate destination is Ushuaia, Argentina. Other than that, we have no set itinerary and no solid plans.
We are searching for new experiences, new cultures, developing personal relationships, and helping out others in need. We have had many adventures so far which you can check out on our blog at http://homeonthehighway.com
In San Francisco we built and maintained our own organic square foot garden. We love animals. We are avid backpackers and outdoors enthusiasts. We are trustworthy, friendly, and lowkey.
James expertise is in computers. He is a tinkerer and a decent mechanic. He has experience with gardening, backpacking, tour guiding, kayaking, volunteering etc etc.
Laurens expertise is hospitality, she has years of experience planning, and facilitating events. She can cook, clean, and serve amazing meals. She is also a great backpacker, tourguide, volunteer and organizer.
Our spanish is decent, We took 3 weeks of classes in Guatemala and have had over 7 months of crash-course immersion while traveling.
We are mainly camping out of our truck but looking to make new friends and crash a few couches along the way to Ushuaia. We love to party or read books, its all good.
PHILOSOPHY
Decide what to be, and go be it!
