About Me

Hi, my name's Anthony and I'm 18 years old and currently going to high school in order to get my french and my german baccalaureate. I'd then like to continue studying in order to become veterinarian. Though, I'd also love to take some time to travel a bit, not necessarly far away, but travel.
I'm able to speak french german and english, and travelling would also be an occasion to improve my english a bit, which can sometimes seems... Needed (got a beautiful accent). In my free time, I like to play the guitar, read some book, or, if really motivated, cook something delicious (or supposed to be). Sometimes I even do some sport, even if I think someone should only run when chased. But whatever. If I'm travelling, I'd love to discover the local activities, and also new people to talk to and to learn from.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's way more interessant to go somewhere and live a bit with someone than just being alone in an hotel room. As I mentionned it, if I'd like to travel, it's because I'd love to make new experiences, which also means meeting people and share a little part of their life, and this concept of couchsurfing is just the ideal opportunity. Moreover, it's way funnier to stay at someone's home and have someone you can tell your day about, or ask for theirs... In short, I think it's just better to have contact with other people while travelling.

Interests

I have a certain interest in learning new things : Though I don't fancy sitting eight hours in a classroom, having the opportunity to listen someone explain about his/her passion has always made me happy: Sharing experiences, skills, or useless knowledge(did you know that starfishes don't have a brain ?), all these things are kind of enjoyable, I think, and it's also something that motivated me to create this account ( I'm not gonna share lot of things with my desk lamp, in a hostel).
I also love animals, they are awesome new friends to make, and it's, sadly, not something we can find when sleeping over in a hostel. But with people, it's way more possible ! It just makes me happy to see some animal seek for hugs or attention. Unless it's a spider. It's ... A bit less enjoyable to be followed everywhere by a spider than by a dog... But if you got one, I'll still stare fascinated at it.
At last but not at least, I love music. Listening to it, learning an instrument, playing music, go to concerts etc...

Music, Movies, and Books

I like pretty much every kind of music, but after growing up with a rock/metal-fan father, I'm mostly listening to... Well, rock and metal (though, I got my limits; to violent musics aren't my thing).
I think my favorite movies are the Pirates of Caribbean, for the innumerable badass scenes, the beautiful music, the humor...
I also like watching TV series like Dexter, Dr. House or Supernatural, for example.
At last, I like reading, and I particularly appreciated Percy Jackson, Cherub or the King's Game.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't lived such an incredibly amazing life, except if you consider getting up every morning in order to listen to professors for eight hours as something amazing (I don't). However, there are some experiences I really loved : playing guitare on stage; sleeping with two friends in their garden and having to fight with the cat all night long to get some sleep, and at some point swear because one of my friends fell on the cat and landed on me. As delicately as an airplane crashing in a field. Memorable night.

It is kind of because of this lack at experiences that I would just love to travel, even just a bit, and meet new people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm learning and could also teach the basis of guitar playing (even if someone who already has a guitar often knows how to use it).
