About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently searching for a way to combine excessive pleasures and a sustainable lifestyle.
+
Getting to know the magic and people of my nearby surroundings.

ABOUT ME

Nature blessed me with a smile upon the face and an open mind.
Since a few years I enjoy the privilege to be surrounded by international people or be traveling myself.
Talking to people coming from different cultures and countries made my life significantly richer and more colourful so I kind of got addicted to it...

PHILOSOPHY

"Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.
Begin it now."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I was taking the train across Canada I have been hosted by a bounch of fabolous people who made my travels quite unique. Since then I try to host / get hosted when ever the opportunity comes up. Couchsurfing has this magical component about not knowing who you´ll end up spending the day with - which is always a little scary and fascinating at the same time. So far, almost all my experiences turned out to be beautiful and turned strangers into friends.

Interests

Personally, I love spending time in the outdoors - swimming, hiking, picking flowers, running... it doesn´t really matter as long as the sun is shining. I am also a passionate gardener - growing my own vegetables, herbs and spices always brings me joy. Related to that, I am quite interested in sustainable agriculture and development.
Music has always been a big factor in my life - I enjoy singing together, as well as playing ukulele + tinwhistle or simply listening.
Other then that I am pretty open for what ever the day has to offer: I don´t mind a few beers with friends, good conversations, the occasional dance or cooking together ... I´m usually up for it and happy while around friendly people.

Music, Movies, and Books

As far as music is concerned, I am quite oldshool and stuck in the 60´s: Joan Baez, Leonard Cohen, Dylan, Mimi + Richard Farina... For going out I choose electro or house though.
And I have a thing for strong female voices: Ani di Franco, Regina Spector, Joni Mitchell, Dresden dolls

John Irving is very likely to be my favourite author- I loved "hotel new hampshire" and "the fourth hand" .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skinny dipping in the pacific ocean at night, lightened by bio-luminescence in the midst of summertime.

Hiking to the peak of mount Chírripo, with 3800 m the highest mountain in central America.

Accidentally walking into a white rhino´s habitat.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to share: playing ukulele, cooking + baking, wild collecting of forest producst, knowledge in english/german/spanish , everything related to plant production

Happy to learn: new recipes, driving a car, your point of view
