I love learning new languages and cultures. Whenever I speak a new language, I feel like there is another new girl in me, it is like I was born the second time. I enjoy learning new culture and custom. I want to travel around the world to make friends with people. I want to enjoy the fresh air of freedom and wander around to discover new things. I enjoy eating new food, walking on new streets, meeting and talking to new friends, hearing new voices and breathe new air.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to share what I have known about the world with all of friends and also want to learn from them. I'm willing to give supports in case of need and also hope to get helps when I'm in need.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to Vietnamese and Chinese old folk songs. The lyrics in those songs can bring me back in the old time to understand about the traditional cultures and the old lifestyle. Otherwise, I sometimes listen to new US-UK songs for entertaining.
I love watching movies, especially Japanese animation cartoon (anime). The stories and the lessons from those movies always make me think about another side of life, a new view of the issue and remind me good behaviors to people.
I love reading books in my free time. The best ones I have read in my life can be listed as: Gone with the wind, The Alchemist, The thorn birds, All the rivers run...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Introducing Job to my foreign friend in Vietnam
During my studying Japanese time in Hochiminh City since September 2014, I met an old man from Japan coming to Hochiminh city to travel. We had a great talk together for the first time we met. He became my private Japanese teacher since that day. Then he told me that he wanted to live in Vietnam for couples of years, he wanted to be a Japanese teacher in Hochiminh City and he needed my help to connect to the school, as his age was nearly the retiring age in Vietnam.
I then came to my Japanese school to talk to my teachers to introduce him and asked for help in his case. Then the principal of the school agreed to give him a chance for an interview. As a miracle, he was accepted to be a teacher in that school although his age was nearly to be relaxed.
My Japanese friend now is working as a Japanese teacher in Hochiminh city. He is happy now with the life in there. He said thank you to me, but I said I also had to say thank you to him. From his story, I know that we sometimes can do things that we though we could not. Be positive and do what we think, we will make it

Teach, Learn, Share

I was working as a teaching assistant of English, in Hochiminh city for 5 years. That period of time was one of the best in my life. I was working with children and taught them English, told them about something new in somewhere over Vietnam sky. I also learnt from my lovely students how to look at the world in children's eyes, the world since then became a much better and happier place to live.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm willing to share what I have learnt and experienced in my life, included living in Hochiminh city, traveling through Vietnam, my new life and studying in New Taipei City.
I can give supports in case of need, about traveling tips, accommodations in Hochiminh city or provinces nearby, when someone needs helps for a trip to Vietnam.
We can share together our experiences of learning languages, making friends and living in a new country.
I'm happy even just to share my knowledge how to cook a good meal for family and friends.
