About Me

Attention, please.

I tend to host someone who hosted before or at least have a reference, if you want to try luck with a blank profile, you can send me a request as well but it is not unlikely to be accepted unless we have something in common.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone, My name is Howard. Like most Couchsurfers here, I love traveling and have been to around 100 countries until now. In the past 7 years, I have hosted more than 800 travelers from around 85 countries and surfed 100 times in 60 countries.

Sadly My previous account was gone and I missed a lot of contacts and have to register a new one to start a new adventure.

I would like to host people who have hosted before and who know better the spirit of Couchsurfing. As it is a platform for sharing and contributing to others.

Lastly, I would like to say that I respect all of u and want to get respect from all of u at the same time.

How to be a responsible surfer if you are new to Couchsurfing?

Recently I met a few couchsurfers who just registered their account and did not know the spirit of Couchsurfing, just treat it as a free place to crash. Here are a few tips to become a respectful surfer.

(1) Communicate before you come: let the host know the exact time you will arrive and the transportation, and get plan B in case you get lost.

(2) Be Punctual. some people said that they will arrive in 10 mins, but arrive in 1-2 hours.

(3) Bring a small souvenir: it can be a postcard, magnet, chocolate, wine, or even small snacks. just a way to show your gratitude, it is not compulsory though.

(4) Leave a copy of your Identity, just in case of emergency.

(5)Be respectful and neat. come back before 11 PM unless you have some plan which can not be changed. Do not bring people home unless permitted.

(6) Do some little things during your stay. (for example: cooking a meal, washing dishes, walking a dog, helping with the garbage, etc)

(7) Spare some time to exchange your background and life or Couchsurfing experience.

(8) Leave a reference after it becomes available( normally after 12 PM the same day you check out). If it is not a positive reference, try to communicate before you leave a reference, there may be some misunderstandings.
