About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Share the wealth, in any form.

ABOUT ME

After a first trip to SE-Asia I got infected by the travel bug. After that I focused on short trips to get trough my bachelor degree. After I got that piece of paper I went on a long trip to Eastern and SE-Asia. After that I picked up an MA, settled in Brussels and am working from there, while still trying to get out to explore and dive in various places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't done much in the past few years but hope to open my place again soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, several sets of surfers have joined me for some nights. Was good fun =) On my last trip trough Asia I surfed at a few different places and ran into the craziest experiences that I'm more than willing to share. I also hosted a bit after getting back.

Interests

Watching sports (on the couch), traveling, going out, reading, listening to music and enjoying the sun in my hammock. If I'm in the right area, mountain biking, trekking, hiking and diving.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lord of the Rings, War and Peace, The Wheel of Time, George Orwell, Terry Pratchett, George R.R. Martin, Haruki Murakami are some favourite reads. Regarding music, anything but die hard techno. Might sound a bit broad but that's how it is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving at Sipadan and doing a self drive safari in an old Land Cruiser.

Spending a month in Myanmar. I have never felt so welcome in a country and so sad for leaving one. It's too difficult to explain here, so either see for yourself or go to a pub with me to talk about the place.

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Georgia, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Laos, Malaysia, Malta, Morocco, Myanmar, Norway, Russian Federation, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United States, Viet Nam
