About Me

A loner by choice I don´t mind the company of - friendly - people ... every once in a while. :-)

Empathy, honesty, loyalty as well as curiosity and humour are qualities I´m looking for in my fellow human beings. I like people who are not too full of themselves.

Ignorants, know-it-alls and bullies can stay where they are.

Request to stay with me if you want to be respected and not being hit on. I prefer to host Ukrainians, female travellers, couples and mothers with kids.

Fully vaccinated and N O T H O S T I N G COVID-deniers.

If YOU bring bed bugs WE have a problem!!!

I stand with Ukraine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hosting backpackers since September 15th 2008 showed me that I´m not as tolerant as I always thought I´d be and that I can´t be friends with everyone. I have made all kinds of experiences and made good friends but I´ve also had many, many awkward and a few negative encounters.
The number of references or friends I have on my profile are in no way representative as I have hosted probably two or three times as many people. After I had started hosting and had met amazing people it soon turned into a behavioral addiction which led to my hosting couchsurfers everyday, sometimes multiple groups and on occassion 5 to 8 people at the same time. while often only one or two had a profile of their own. Hosting groups of 3 to 5 people for one or two nights only can be fun but it´s definitely a lot of work (as I do wash bed sheets and bedding after every single guest) which is why I turned to hosting fewer people for a longer timespan.

What I Can Share with Hosts

space, food, time, favourite spots

if you´re up for it you can join me cleaning the environment by "picking up trash", which is what I end up doing whenever I go for a walk, a hike or a swim. :-)
