CURRENT MISSION

I am working with software developers from the Ukraine and Viet Nam. We are creating a mobile application together. It will be a few months before the app is ready to use. My developer friends are only able to work on the project part time until we manage to raise money.

To earn money myself, lately I have been driving for two ride share companies. I do not currently have a place of my own in the city of Denver. It has become quite expensive to live in this city. Instead of renting a place of my own here in Denver while our application is being programmed, I would like to come to Bali. There, I would like to join a yoga school, and get my mind, body, and spirit into the best shape possible.

ABOUT ME

I am a creative person. Years ago, I had a job that involved socializing with hundreds of people. From that experience, I discovered that I don't care to be acquainted with so many people. Instead, I would like to genuinely and meaningfully connect with just a few people whom hopefully, I will be able to call real friends for all my life. To accomplish this, I make efforts to truly be present with the people I spend time with.

I have been looking into yoga schools and accommodations in Bali online. May I please stay with you for a short time in June? Perhaps, you can give me some suggestions as I acquaint myself with the island. My plan is to find a place to stay and to do yoga for one month. I may then travel for a couple of weeks before returning home to Colorado.

It would be a bummer to pre-pay for a place to stay and a yoga school, only to discover I would prefer to be in a different part of the island.

By the way, though I created this account five years ago, I have not yet made an official couch surfing visit. That is why I only have one reference.

Improving my physical and spiritual well being is my present goal. I've been working very hard creating my new company for the past couple of years. That's taken quite a lot out of me.

I would like to do yoga every day, ride a bicycle around, and possibly join a gym. For many years, I've played the guitar and I'm happy to offer help learning.

I was hired to direct a video for a healthcare company. The project took me to Asia, Europe, and around the U.S. The people I interviewed all had their lives or the lives of loved ones saved by the products of the company that hired me. While spending only about an hour with these people, each of them shared incredibly intimate stories with me. One couple told me about the time they were told their son had very little chance of living through the night. The father of a young Mongolian girl who I met in a hospital invited me to their home. I accepted. A man in Florida stayed in touch with me until he passed away almost ten years later. I felt very blessed to have people place such trust in me.
