About Me
Community builder, joy maker, decolonization! 🌈
Happy to host you all in Thessaloniki once I move there in October from Crete :)
I’m really glad to be here and looking forward to meeting new people and sharing experiences. Over the past seven years, I’ve been working with refugees in the Netherlands, which has been an incredibly meaningful part of my life. It’s shown me the importance of kindness, understanding, and the power of people coming together to support one another.
Last year I moved to Crete and now moving to Thessaloniki in October!!!
For about seven years, I’ve been working as a consultant in the Dutch cultural sector, focusing on decolonization. This work has been close to my heart, as it’s all about making space for different voices and perspectives. I genuinely enjoy bringing people together and finding common ground, as I believe we all have something valuable to share and learn from each other.
This October, I’m starting a master’s in integrative counseling and psychotherapy in Thessaloniki. It feels like the right time for me to explore more about healing and restoration, both for myself and the communities I care about. It’s a new chapter that I’m really looking forward to!!
When I’m not working or studying, I love playing instruments (piano, guitar, saxophone and others). Music is something that brings me a lot of simple joy and relaxation, and it’s also a great way to connect with people on a different level.
I joined Couchsurfing to meet others who are open to sharing their stories and creating genuine connections. I'm super happy to host all of you once Im settled in Thessaloniki!
I’m all about simple moments, good conversations and the little things that make life interesting and meaningful. Looking forward to meeting new friends here and seeing where this journey takes us!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I love the idea of connecting with people in a more genuine and personal way. For me, traveling isn’t just about seeing new places- it’s about meeting people, hearing their stories, and sharing a bit of my own journey, too.
I really think there’s something special about being welcomed into someone’s home and getting a glimpse into their everyday life without being too intrusive at the same time.
I’m super excited about the chance to create meaningful connections, whether it’s over a shared meal, a conversation about life, or exploring a new city together. I believe that the best experiences often come from the unexpected moments and the people you meet along the way.
I’m looking forward to meeting people who are open to sharing, learning, and growing together. Looking forward to exchanging stories, discover new perspectives, and make some great memories!
