ABOUT ME

I spent the first 10 years of my adult life in the Australian Navy and so I spent my days cruising the seven seas looking for pirates and buried treasure and the like. For the last 6 years I have been living abroad in Ireland, England and Canada learning, living and laughing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been lucky enough to host and be hosted by some amazing people. This website has seriously changed the way I travel and for the better! It´s not just about the free accommodation(although that helps also!) but the experience of visiting and meeting locals in whatever place I happen to find myself is the best part of this whole project. Everyone I have met through this site have been fantastic... although I'm sure this can't last and the next one will be a axe wielding maniac but that's the fun of it all!!!

Interests

I'm interested in experiencing as much of this crazy little planet as I can. I love meeting new people and visiting different places... if I can somehow get paid to this then the plan will be complete!

Music, Movies, and Books

Always listening to something, in to pretty much any tunes but Gogol Bordello would have to be all time favourites although Aussie acts like The Cat Empire or Xavier Rudd aren't far behind. I love comedy flicks and the favourites are O Brother Where Are Thou and The Blues Brothers. Strangely enough most books I read these days are travel related although absolute favourite is Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, which is guess is sorta travel related??

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've jumped out of and off stuff, dived with all sorts of creatures, travelled far, witnessed much but the most amazing thing was to see the sun set on a deserted beach I had found whilst walking one day. Not a soul in site just me the waves and the awesome entity that is our sun. With the onset of darkness i realised my place in this crazy little universe of ours, an epiphany so to speak........ either that or the threesome I had!!!
