About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Personal: Enjoy life, every minute, every day! - Professional: contributing in every possible way to make our blue ball enjoyable for future generations. More specific, I'm starting an organic farm this year, together with a friend.

ABOUT ME

I am a friendly and easy going person, who loves the outdoors, cooking, having fun and enjoys life. My passion for nature in all its forms and colours also contributes to my personality and the choices I make.

For the moment I live together with my girlfriend in Mortsel, about 6km from the city of Antwerp. Easily accessible by train, tram or bike. We live in a small appartment, but we try to open our door as much as possible for travellers.

PHILOSOPHY

Not all who wander are lost

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In my opinion couchsurfing is the best way for young and old to see the world in a unique way. The big advantage is that you meet local people, who know the place that no tourist guide can match. You also get to see and experience the small things that give a place its special character.
On the other hand it's nice to host people from all over the world, to make sure they have a good time and some good memories of their stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I didn't travel that much so far (luckily I still have some time left), but I mainly hosted some people since I moved in together with 3 of my friends. I can only say that it has been a very nice experience so far. You get to meet people with such different cultural backgrounds, interests, stories, what makes it new and exciting every time again.

Interests

My curiosity makes me interested in many things, that's why I subscribed on couchsurfing in the first place. I like meeting new people, to find out how they live their lives, to get to know different cultures in other ways than from the news (which is not so positive most of the time).
I also like nature, and spend time in the outdoors by walking, biking, playing, doing nothing...just enjoy the scenery in an active way (it's not always that active).
Further interests are music, I like snowboarding and surfing and skating.

Music, Movies, and Books

Varies a lot, and depends on my mood :-)

More a music fan than a reader, but can always contribute in balancing this more and more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quitting my job, to become an organic farmer.
It amazed me what joy and happiness you can achieve by searching for those specific thing that make you who you are.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn and share: as much as possible! Every person has skills, thoughts, knowledge that can only enlighten me as a person.
