About Me

If you're not able to find a host look into Nashville Downtown Hostel. It's a great place to stay and right downtown! Also, if money is less of an issue and it's a cultural experience you are looking for, you have GOT TO check out Urban Cowboy in East Nashville!

-----

CURRENT MISSION

To taste, embrace and fully immerse myself in every culture this planet has to offer.

ABOUT ME

I'm passionate, friendly, hopeful, adventurous, sarcastic & eclectic.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe wholeheartedly in following your passions no matter the cost but I also believe people have a responsibility to society. I would say I'm a hippie but I love makeup & stilettos too much and so I'll simply say I'm an eclectic free-spirit hungry for all that this world has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Happy to host travelers who are looking to save some money but CS'ing is more than just a place to sleep. It's a cultural & worldview exchange. I'd love to show you around my city. Help you fall in love with it as much as I have. I'd also love to learn about you and your culture! Nashville is a booming city with tons of great bars & restaurants so we can certainly find a place that serves your favorite type of food and talk more over a mouthful of delicious eats.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined CSing when I moved to Europe (in 2011) because I thought it would be an awesome way to explore this new continent I was living on. And it was! I loved every second of my CS experience abroad and look forward continue my CS journey hosting people in Nashville. I've tasted and seen enough to know hotels & even hostels are not the way to see this world. Couchsurfing is!

Interests

I love live music (pref. soul, blues, funk, jazz, emo singer/songwriter), good wine, fair-trade coffee, poetry, yoga, salsa dancing, meeting new people, jumping out of planes & off of bridges, movies that keep you guessing or feeling empty (I hate happy endings), trying new foods, etc... It can all be summed up by a Ron Pope lyric: "I'm not one for missed adventures so I answered with a smile."

Music, Movies, and Books

For music & movies, see "Interests"

Books: No matter what the subject I usually get bored 1/2 way thru. Perhaps the only 2 books I've read and loved every second of were: Eat.Pray.Love & Soul Cravings

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled to some of the poorest villages in the world to help eradicate poverty & slavery. It was in these marginalized & oppressed communities that I was able to see compassion win over corruption. NOTHING tops the pleasure of watching selfless love, peace, and hope be offered to someone who has lost all faith in humanity.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm in a stage of my life where i just want to learn. I'm happy to share my experiences and love to engage in a good discussion or debate, but what I'm most interested in at this juncture is to be a complete sponge and soak up all that knowledge that I can. I'm currently most interested in health, current affairs, politics and human nature.
