ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Hope. You will usually find me with a pair of converse sneakers on my feet and a journal in my hand. Writing helps me to make sense of life. I thrive off change, while always missing what I'm leaving behind. Traveling to new places, meeting different kinds of people, and experiencing new ways of living are some of the ways I feed my appetite for adventure.
Most of the time I am extroverted, but I also cherish time spent alone. I enjoy going to movies by myself. Nature, humor, and literature are important to me. Hobbies of mine include photo shoots, dance parties, and ice cream binges.
PHILOSOPHY
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I couch surfed during a road trip across America at the end of 2008/beginning of 2009, hosted a few couch surfers during the summer of 2009, and stayed with some lovely couch surfers in Bulgaria during the fall of 2009.
