About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Transform my urban suroundings into a sustainable productive living system

ABOUT ME

I am outgoing and like to meet people and learn about different cultures and lifestyles. I'm very interested in simple living and environment issues, and alternatives to capitalism.

I am also collaborating with others on educational projects and advocacy related to these issues.

I've been hosting freegan potlucks, free/swaps and co-organizing dumpster-diving tours.

PHILOSOPHY

We will be remembered not for what we owned or created, but for how well we cared for the earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As of yet I've participated by hosting travelers at my place. It has been a great experience and plan to visit other couch surfers in the future.

Interests

I enjoy riding my bike, dancing and having fun. I also am interested in hiking, wild foods, contra dancing.

Some other interests include sharing stories, cooking, hanging out with friends, going to the beach and making sand castles or body surfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing moment was hiking to Jenks Lake in the San Bernandino mountains and getting caught in the Thunderstorm at the lake. It was amazing to watch it approaching from the distance, come across the lake and come down on us with a torrential rain and powerful thunder and lightning. There was a small shelter where we hung out waiting for the storm to pass.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can fix and maintain bicycles and computers. I can cook. I've organized film screenings and DIY workshops and have set up a low ropes course. I'm a regular dumpster-diver and rescue food from local dumpsters that would otherwise go to a landfill.

I'm interested in learning guitar, juggling, carnival arts, and yoga.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, South Korea, Spain
