About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet new people, see new places and have fun along the way

ABOUT ME

Originally from York, I spent 10 years in the south of England, did one summer round Europe, one year in Oz and have finally set off on my travels once again. Have just recently traveled on the Trans mongolian railway, through China, onto Hong Kong and now in New Zealand. Love meeting new people and trying new things. Am a hairdresser by trade. That's about it for now..

PHILOSOPHY

I try to fit as much into my life as possible. Opportunities aren't generally handed out you have to make things happen for yourself. Work hard and then you get to play hard, and most of the time it's worth giving up something in the short term to get to where you want to in the long term. Plus, a new philosophy of mine... face your fears and push yourself out of your comfort zone, the feeling afterwards is so much more rewarding.

Interests

Travel (obviously)
Snowboarding (a new hobby I have just discovered)
Hiking & the Great Outdoors
And then the usual... socialising (yes by that I do mean having the odd drink or two), cinema every now and then etc etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie music mainly. Stereophonics, The Killers, Glasvegas, that kind of thing. Don't really watch many movies as am a bit of a fidget arse and can't seem to sit still for 2 hours! I guess it would depend on my mood at the time as to what type of film. Anything but sci-fi. As for books, the only type of book I ever seem to get to the end of these days is written by Dave Gorman or Danny Wallace. They are funny guys.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked 10km on the Great Wall of China. I did this in June 2009 and am still on a high from it! Defo do it if you get the chance. Absolutely awesome experience.
