About Me
ABOUT ME
How in the world one can describe him/herself with just a couple of words? I really love going to headbanging into a loud thrash metal gig - but I also love reading a book alone, accompanied just a cup of espresso. I love going to go with people to loudly cheer the local football club to the stadium - but I also love writing poems in a candle light. And frankly: everything in between.
PHILOSOPHY
"No possession is gratifying without a companion" - Seneca
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The concept of Couchsurfing is the best the human mind can imagine. The mixture of travelling and meeting new people just mixes together two super cool things.
I joined another hospitality sharing site HospitalityClub in the year 2005, so I've been in "scene" for more than 15 years now - and counting!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: The Smiths, The Doors, Metallica, Rammstein (well, that was the first four to come to mind, but the actual list would be hundreds of items long...) and huuuuge array of Finnish bands, which I'm more than glad to introduce to you :)
Books: Väinö Linna, Jose Saramago, George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, Vladimir Nabokov and dozens of others. I just love books!
Movies: Stanley Kubrick's movies, but no wonder to spot me watching Dumb & Dumber either. I really don't watch that much movies alone (as I prefer to read a book instead), but watching a movie with a company is great way to spend time, though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, obviously the most amazing thing ever was to see my daughter to born! Perhaps the most amazing travel experience was the old salt mine in Merkers-Kieselbach, Thuringia, Germany (where the hidden Nazi loot was found on 1945, they make now tours there with mine cars, spooky but memorable). As a city one doesn't believe to exist before seeing it, I would vote for Sighisoara in Romania - so beautiful!
Teach, Learn, Share
At least I can always offer my helping hand with any computer related problems that might occur... Of course, I would love to teach a surfer (or host) some Finnish!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook, so I'm more than happy to cook to my visitors (and why not to my hosts as well :))!
