About Me

I believe in being an open-minded, agreeable, and respectful individual.
I taught French for over 5 years, I am a student of Business & Psychology.
I enjoy experiencing new things such as talking to people or visiting new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered CouchSurfing during my first and only hitchhiking trip right after high school where I went to France, Spain & Morroco.
I recently joined the platform to revive this flame from my adventurous 18-year-old self.

I love meeting new people. Especially, people from different backgrounds!

Interests

In my free time, I like to sit on the patio and start singing and playing an improvised song on my guitar. I love the selflessness of this exercise and the creativity that flows from it.

One of my favorite thing to do while I visit a country/city is to wander around not knowing where I am going or sitting at a cafe and watching people walking by as I write or get lost in my thoughts. However, I also Love to talk to new people, for me coming from a fairly shy background it took me some time and still does to randomly talk to perfect strangers but I think it is so much fun!

Philosophy and spirituality have always been interesting topics. Overall, I love talking about different concepts whether it is a business idea, how to change the world or your own personal world, or what state our society is in, or the place of religion and its teaching even if I don't identify with any group in particular ...

Music, Movies, and Books

Just a guitar or piano, a voice, and some good lyrics. That's all I need.

Dead Poets' Society, Schindler's List, Into the Wild, The Road, ...

Mostly nonfiction/self-help books but I am warming up to the idea of fictional books. The next book I would like to read is "Moby Dick" to get a sense of how life in the Ocean is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking trip at 18 years old was quite something! Some weird, blissful, disappointing moments. It was such an emotional roller coaster!
Moved from France to the USA at 19.
Started a small French tutoring business at 20.
Helping and encouraging a fellow college student to not drop out of the course.
Summited Mt.Hood while smoking some cigarettes on the way up xD (I won't do that again)
Rode a sand bike on the Oregon dunes.
AND more to come I hope :)

Teach, Learn, Share

You'll see, the unknown is more willing to teach you something ;)
I actually wrote this sentence when I was 18 and still stand by it. (time capsule)

Also, if you are interested in learning some French, I would be more than happy to give you some lessons: it is mostly us having fun but learning French at the same time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good company(talk, play games, party,...)
Teach you, French.
I can also help with some chores or work... (Obviously, I will clean after myself. However, if you need help with a project and am able to help, I am more than happy to help)
I am more than happy to a reasonable financial contribution, even if it is just paying you a meal to thank you. I am here to meet you, locals, that are interesting. I like my solo adventure time but I also hope, if you have some free time, to go out together and explore or simply sit at a cafe to talk and refaire le monde (And reinvent the world).

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Switzerland, United States
