This is Richard Hou (Chin-Ting, HOU) and nice to meet you on CS.

Richard is my western name since long years ago I admired to French famous pianist and learned french as my major study in school.

I am easy going person and would like to invite you to go around my city and also hear more about your stories too.

People in Taiwan enjoy a free, democratic, and safe society International visitors usually find that it is easy to live and study in Taiwan. Taiwanese pride themselves on their hospitality, and are committed to creating a friendly and convenient living environment for others to study Mandarin Chinese and experience Chinese and indigenous cultures.

Most people in Taiwan speak basic English, are very willing to help new friends from afar. Even if one has just begun to learn Mandarin Chinese, there will be no problems obtaining the information and assistance required.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I get more idea about couch surfing from Taiwanese backpackers website.

Start on my backpack travel in 2004 since my work switched to south China. Discovered silk road (Xi'an to Dunhuang) was my previous excellent travel experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's amazing experience to meet new friends via couch surfing and I would like to host new friends from anywhere, especially someone is loving Chinese traditional culture.

兴趣

Language learning - I enjoy learning languages, especially French since I was little boy begin to admire French famous pianist Richard Clayderman. (Also use his name to be my foreign name)

Penmanship(handwriting)- I learned it in the elementary school period and received some prize from this competition in past. Honestly I have not written it for longer time.

Movies - I enjoy watching movies. Hollywood, European, Bollywood, etc...

Biking - I am not a professional or a hardcorde biker. I just enjoy the peace on a bike.

Photographing - I am loving to take the photograph on traveling, especally foucus on People & Kids'Smile (world language). Fortunately, I have recevied one landscape award and published on one famous Taiwan local travel magazine "Traveller Luxe. (see pics on my album)
