I’m Houssam, originally from Algeria. I work for international tech companies and I’ve spent the last few years working remotely with teams from different parts of the world. Because of that, I’m used to meeting people from different cultures and I genuinely enjoy those exchanges.

I travel to experience places through the people who live there, not just through tourist spots. I like good conversations, learning how locals see their city, and sharing perspectives about culture, work, and life.

I’m easygoing, respectful of people’s space, and clean. I don’t treat Couchsurfing like a free hotel — if someone hosts me, I’m happy to share stories, cook something from my culture, grab a coffee, or help with anything around the house.

Outside of work I’m interested in entrepreneurship, technology, and personal development. I also enjoy exploring cities on foot, trying local food, and having long discussions about ideas and different ways people live around the world.
