ABOUT ME

I'm an introspective type, and I feel most alive when I find myself outside. The activities vary from climbing (my latest multi-year obsession), backpacking, wearing out my dog, hiking, whatever. A little sarcasm and a dry sense of humor goes a long way with me, but I've often enjoyed the company of those who laugh loud and often, and discuss seemingly everything in the span of an hour or less. I am a lover of music (both listening and playing), and I'd love for you to show up with your instrument and force me into an impromptu jam session. I worked for years in restaurants of all varieties, and I still find food to be one of the most beautiful aspects of life.

I play guitar well, and I'm learning piano. I'm a steadily improving climber. If you feel pent up after sitting in a car/train/plane/bus for hours, I'll be the guy to go on a jog with you. Or if you just want a home-cooked meal, I can do that too. I love to sometimes embrace my left brain (away from work) and discuss the logic of science or politics (if logic applies to the latter). Or switch gears and talk endlessly about music. Oh, and for you climbers, my friends and I built a wall in my garage. No need to hit up the gym!
